WORKS > BRONZE OBJECT "BREATHER", VOORBURG (2005)
Execution of a bronze art object, developing the composition on the main street of the city of Voorburg in the Netherlands - there are already more then ten other art objects placed on this street,each from a different sculptor, all of a similar size.
It was a challenge for me to make an art object from bronze.
I have only worked with this material before to a small extent. The size limit was a bit binding for me. I understand this object as a part of a series of objects, named "Breathers", created in 2005.
The Breather can be awoken in the evening with a candle placed inside. This brings about a slightly sentimental ambiance.
